The Rail District is a master-planned community located in Abbotsford’s Historic Downtown, rich with local history and urban excitement. Not only home to residents: the Rail District will be a hub for local businesses to thrive and grow. Abby-grown salon Beard & Bardot are relocating to the Rail District this Fall. With their team of talented stylists, they’ve got you covered: haircuts, colouring services, makeup application, and even medical-grade skincare treatments! Whether the occasion is special – like a wedding or graduation – or an ordinary day spent in Downtown Abby, Beard & Bardot will cater to your needs. Jordana Patterson, B&B’s owner, and senior stylist shares below why she chose to move to The Rail District.

How It All Started
Beard & Bardot came about in a quick, unexpected manner over the course of 2014’s Canada Day long weekend. When the opportunity to rent a newly vacant space fell into Jordana’s lap, she took the plunge, and over 3 days, 100 coats of white paint, and many light fixtures, Beard & Bardot was born! There were virtually no plans for the future of the business – not even a name for the salon – except for a desire and determination to make a beautiful space for artists to create and clients to receive quality service and care. It’s safe to say that this mission was achieved with Beard & Bardot becoming one of Abbotsford’s most beloved salons. What Makes B&B Special?
Beard & Bardot isn’t just a hair salon, or even a one-stop shop for your styling needs. It’s a relationally focused, warm space intended for the facilitation of community. Jordana shared what makes her team unique is their “collective passion about our craft,” as well as “the relationships with our clients that we develop and nurture. That’s what makes us different.” The Beard & Bardot team aren’t only interested in doing their jobs well, they’re looking to form lasting relationships with their clients and build a genuine community around their business. Jordana cherishes getting to create “beautiful hair that fits people’s lives and personal styles,” as well as the opportunity to make “a safe, creative, supportive space for my staff and clients.” She shared that her favorite thing about her job is being “immersed in an industry that fulfills me to the core of who I am”.The Beard & Bardot Experience
